We have been supplying food produce to restaurants in York with the very best produce since 1918 and to food businesses towards Harrogate and Beverley since the 1990s.

We have a modern distribution warehouse that also serves as our Cash & Carry facility. We have thousands of products that are suitable for any level of catering and we’re also open to the public. The warehouse is open 06:00hrs until 18:00hrs Monday to Saturday and open from 07:30hrs until 12:00hrs on Sunday.

We have an unrivaled reputation for our delivery service which operates seven days a week and can be tailored to suit any establishment. There is also an afternoon delivery into the city of York from Monday to Saturday. 

We work closely with our existing customers to provide them with the best possible service.

Simon Baynes Wholesale is certainly not the biggest wholesale delivery firm but because we are smaller, we pay more attention to the needs of our customers and focus on the quality of our produce. All of our produce is chosen by our expert team of buyers, with contacts globally, we source some of the finest foods to brighten up any menu.

Simon Baynes Wholesale was initially named Pennington’s and was established in 1918. The business had been set up after the Great War and was a small market stall on Parliament Street in York, selling local produce. Since then, the family-run business has continued to thrive and now serves nearly 150 food businesses in York and towards Harrogate and Beverley. We have stayed in business as long as we have due to our commitment to offer high-quality produce, an exceptional service and more importantly, always being reliable.
